Paragon

Boards, nodes, glyphs and the Pit — enough shared rules that a build page's board list and glyph ladder make sense the first time you see them.

01 — What Paragon is

After 70, the board opens

Paragon is the endgame board system. You earn Paragon points after character level 70, and Season Rank can add up to 42 more. Those points path across boards of nodes and glyph sockets.

02 — Boards

Starter plus four

You can attach a maximum of five boards, including the Starter board. Each class has a pool of class boards to choose from; you pick which four attach after Starter.

03 — Node types

What you are walking through

NodeWhat it does
NormalSmall attribute bumps. Cheap pathing glue.
MagicStronger bonuses on the way to rares and legendaries.
RareBig board powers. Often need enough of an attribute allocated nearby to unlock fully.
LegendaryOrange. The reason that board exists. Early power spike.
Glyph socketWhere a glyph item goes. Radius and bonuses scale as the glyph levels.
04 — Early goal

Legendary nodes first

Our Season 15 checklist tells you to drive Paragon toward a Legendary node at roughly 25 to 40 points. That is the first real spike.

Build pages often say to rush Legendary nodes and glyph sockets across all five boards, fill the rest later, and sometimes respec around the mid-200s into a finished layout. That is strategy, not a hidden rule — legendaries and sockets carry disproportionate power, so early points buy those before tidy paths.

05 — Glyphs

Socket, radius, Pit

Glyphs are items. You socket them into boards, remove them freely, and level them in The Pit by clearing a run and spending upgrades at the Awakened Glyphstone.

Pit upgrades, without fake precision

Each Pit clear gives several Glyphstone upgrade chances; a deathless clear and War Plan nodes can add more. This site does not publish a single base attempt count. Higher Pit tier relative to the glyph's level improves the odds and can grant extra levels per attempt.

06 — Points on this site

Season Rank, then a finished board

A finished seasonal board set is written against 346 Paragon points on this site (Barb endgame pages). Season Rank can add up to 42 Paragon points.

Use the build's board order and glyph list. If a page says respec after roughly 200 points, treat that as the swap from a rush path into the finished path for that build.

Left off this primer on purpose

New to the season checklist as well? Start on Season 15, then come back here before you open a build's Paragon section. Mercenaries have their own primer: Mercenaries.
